Twinkle toes!!!

Our family has learned a lot through Abby Jane. We learned that we need to take time to marvel in the miraculous little things our children do each day! Well, little Rory Morgan found her toes....that is a miracle. To see that little girl laying on the floor with not a care in the world. There isn't anything better. We thank the Lord every day for these little things....

It's a lake day!.....

We got to spend a great day at Polaski Lake in Buffalo. The weather was perfect but, the water was FREEZING!!! When the people from Minnesota are cold, you know it's cold. But, we had fun anyway. The day wouldn't be complete without some cannonballs off the pontoon, fishing, soaking up some sun. Thanks to the Bergstrom's for their hospitality. Grandpa Doug, Jackson will love you forever, for giving him the wheel of the pontoon boat. He really felt like he had made it! The Mountain Stream hat is still on his head.

Up in the North Woods.....

Jake was treated to some incredible bass fishing! Mom even got to go out with him and see him in his glory. He does have quite a talent! It's amazing how he can whip that bait right where he wants it, finesses it through the weeds, and before he gets another breath whips it out there again. In the meantime, I am struggling to get mine stuck from under the weeds, pull the weeds of the lure without slicing my finger open, untangling the line and managing to cast again with out the entire process repeating itself. Trust me, it's not at easy as it looks!

While out on one of our fishing trips, I managed to capture the most amazing pictures of a bald eagle purched on the branch of a birch tree. While my camera is taking a million shots a second, I was able to capture him actually flying off the branch. It was incredible!! Definitely, an experience that I will never forget! Thanks Uncle Bobby!

After four days of being completely out of touch with civilization, we had to say our goodbyes to Uncle Bobby, Annie, and Tuck and head back for a busying weekend with Mick and Wendy in Buffalo. It was hard to say goodbye, but we certainly made memories to last a lifetime! Stay tuned for our next adventure! Love you all and miss everyone!

Excuse me.....What are cheese churds?........

Saturday evening consisted of our first trip to a small town parade. It's Buffalo days, so we were treated to a lot of fun little adventures. The first was when we arrived at dinner time, it was time to choose was delicatessen I would like to experience. I walked up to this tiny white trailer powered by bright orange extension cords and tubs of grease parked out back for refills...I got in the line and started sizing down the menu.. there was a sweet midwestern young woman standing behind me and I had to ask her "excuse me.,....what are cheese curds?......... The answer, I will spare you the details......But, the result is pictured above! Let me just tell you, they were absolutely delicious!!!!!! We had an awesome evening! The weather was perfect, the bands were very talented, and the kids just had a great time of scrounging for the handfuls of candy being thrown along the street. It was a great night!

Fish stories....Chapter 2

Yes....Fat Bass has come through once again! These Minnesota bass haven't seen anything like these delicious Fat Bass baits! Thanks Chris for that! On round two of Jakes first day of Minnesota bass fishing....He hooked a 6lb 3oz monster on his LAST cast of the day!!!! Mick's getting a little tired of everyone else catching the big fish off his boat! Nice job Jake!!! Just wait till Mom gets out there! :)

TIMBERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After months of Mick sitting on his patio and wondering how he is going to get the dead branch out of his ash tree.....John comes to the rescue!! While he was out fishing with Jake and Cooper, John got the extension ladder out and summoned Cody to the yard and away they went! Cody climbed up about 25feet into the tree with the handy old hand saw (one of Mick's finest) he cut away! When Mick got home from his fishing trip, all the evidence was cleaned up and we just waited to see how long it would take for him to notice the job was done!

Notice who is climbing up the ladder and who is just holding it steady!!! The young ones always fall for it!

The day was almost over and Mick hadn't noticed yet. We were on our back home from a ride, and it took a little coaxing and hinting, but we finally got him to look up at the silly tree and he was amazed! So, John's first mission was completed with no casualties! We'll see what's next....

Let the games begin.......

Well, we have arrived in Minnesota. Of course, our first morning consisted of men getting up early and going fishing. The first rotation was Mick, John, and Jake going the Lake. Expectations were not very high, due to the cold and yucky weather they have been having. It is a warm beautiful day today, what would the fish be doing?......nobody knew..........

Bam!...........
